Mahalo (thank you) to you all for your interest in attending Healing Our Spirit Worldwide, the Sixth Gathering, scheduled for September 2010 in Honolulu, Hawai‘i. Many thanks for your infinite patience waiting for information.
Healing Our Spirit Worldwide is an indigenous cultural celebration that will focus on successes, wise practices and common issues in health, healing and addictions within indigenous communities. The Sixth Gathering will radiate the wisdom of our kūpuna- (elders) and the aloha of the land and the indigenous people of ko pae ‘āina Hawai‘i.The 2010 gathering in Honolulu will continue the tradition of HOSW—to strengthen and heal indigenous families and communities worldwide. The HOSW website is alive at www.hosw.com. As details are available, they will be posted to this site to aid you in planning how to share, how to get to Hawai‘i, where to stay, and other information as it becomes available. The Call for Abstracts has also been posted. The deadline to submit is September 8, 2009.

Kia ora, Aloha & Welcome! The Healing Our Spirit Worldwide movement is a cultural celebration inviting the world to collaborate with Indigenous Peoples on the issues of Health, Healing and Self-Determination. The Healing Our Spirit Worldwide (HOSW) movement began as one woman’s vision to create an international forum and movement focused on the alcohol and drug abuse issues and programs in Indigenous communities throughout the global community
Today, HOSW has grown considerably since its inception in 1992 and embraces an inclusive holistic indigenous approach towards sustaining our uniqueness as a contributing global indigenous community.This 'Blog' has been set up for whānau from Aotearoa to receive updates and have the ability to comment on the planning progress for the next HOSW Gathering.

- is a member of the International Indigenous Council for Healing our Spirit Worldwide (IIC for HOSW) movement. This council acts as Kaitiaki for the HOSW movement and will work along side the 2010 host for Healing Our Spirit Worldwide - The Sixth Gathering, Native Hawaiian Health providers Papa Ola Lokahi.
